Part of my LOTR weapons collection. All official UC replica'sHere we have Legolas' White Knives, Arwen's Hadhafang, and the High Elven Warrior Sword

I love LOTR Elven weapons and armor! I looked at some of them on eBay, especially the High Elf Sword, but they are a little out of my price range, for now. Your so lucky and I'm so jealous.

If anyone is interested to forge really workable blades like this would cost around Β£1,800... not that I have looked into it at all...

I got all of them in this picture, and also i haven't got enough money to collect them all

They're beautiful things aren't they? Thats why I collect them. Not because they're weapons. But because of the beauty and the design that goes into each one.

yes, they are beautiful!! I just love that design, it looks that these weapons are so complicated and hard to make.. design is perfect!! I would love to collect that too.. but I don't have enough money to buy them.. maybe one day when I finish my school and find a job i will start to collect them

the Hadhafang is the one with the most visible carvings yes?

Yes, Hadhafang is the one in the middle with the engravings which says:
'Aen estar Hadhafang i chathol hen, thand arod dan i thang an i arwen, Idril i hel en aran Gond Dolen'
Which roughly translates as:
'It is called Throng-cleaver this broadsword-blade, a defence noble against the enemy throng for a noble-lady, Idril, daughter of the king of the Hidden Rock'

are those real swords ? I mean can we compare that to a sword like we could find in a specialized smithery/foundry or is it just a random piece of steel without any particular smithwork ?
no offense, they look amazing, I'm just curious about the blade quality.

Thay are real in the sense that they are full size, full weight replicas. However they are not forged in a 'smiths. The blades are made of 420J stainless steel, not carbon or spring steel that most 'real' swords would be made of. These are simply beautiful decorational peices and not suitable at all for fighting with.
Having said that, you could fight with them, and you can definitly do someone some serius damage, or even kill them. The blades would get damaged pretty quick.
For that reason (and I don't want to spend my life in prison) they'll stay on the wall with all my other LOTR weapons

They are 'false edged'. They are sharpened, but the edge has been dulled down so as not to cut anything (or anyone) easily. The poinys however are incredibly sharp
