Description
I can remember a haunted forest
With green trees and elegant flowers
I thought I'd never see them again
An unsolved mystery-found and treated
Prized with glory, sullen in the mist
I'd shut my eyes and listen-ears closed
I smiled then, I breathed then
I drown now, floating to the bottom
The dark days and gone and come
The flowers are dead-it makes me wonder
What happens now? The leaves shall tell
Of ash and cinder, and a mold of androgyny
The ground has filled with less and less soil
What's happening to this world?
So cold and lonely, corrupted, intoxicated
There's no point to it all
The memories are lost, souls vaporized
Into nothing, the past is modified and can't be resurrected
Scared, I smile, knowing it's alright-I'm dead
I drown now, floating to the bottom
The rock in my heart, frozen in despair
Carries me to the ocean floor; the sky is unclear
Shapely figures dressed in black come to take me away
I remember no haunted forest - for tonight
I drown in the sorrow, I rest in your soul
