Thanks! Usually I use fabric paint pens, but with these I did something a little different. I had just gotten a ton of new fine point colored sharpies and REALLY wanted to use them on something. So with these shoes I did a mix of them and my normal fabric paint pens. And Walmart sells those pens, too. They're in the craft section with the paints. Have fun!

Just make sure they're the permanent kind or they'll smudge together and run when they get wet.

After I paint my shoes, and I make sure they're dry, I take them outside and spray an acrylic sealant lightly on them. You can find the spray in an aerosol can, either matte or glossy (get matte), in the crafts isle at Walmart (one-stop shopping) or at a crafts store. They sprays are specially for paints.

Thanks! I love to hear when someone appreciates my work. And yeah, they're a lot of fun to wear. So much better than boring old plain white shoes or what not. Also my favorite to date...so far. Lol

I do love to paint shoes and I actually only started recently, but they're a lot of fun to do. I usually use fabric paint and I have some fabric paint pens that are easier to use than a paint brush. Sometimes I'll even use some colored sharpies for detail work. Afterward I use a spray sealant to protect the paint better.

Usually I'll sketch my ideas out on paper first and if I feel comfortable enough then I'll usually do the first shoe free hand. The second one however I usually draw lightly with a pencil first just because I have to do an as possible exact mirror image as possible.

More Alice in Wonderland shoes? You're my hero!!
Just out of curiosity, do you prefer the original AiW by Lewis Carroll or the Disney one?
