With bated breath we sat waiting for Evelyn to arrive as she was the only one of us to have any kind of insight of how we could counter the devastating attack launched on Lenola by the monster that had come from within her phone. Fae remained so ominously calm and composed, even when my emotions got the better of me as my best friend lay so helpless and lifelessly, Fae rose to the moment and chased away my sorrow, assuring me that no matter what I believed, the events that had transpired were not my fault. Although Fae meant well and was handling the situation and state of Lenola far better than me, it did little to dispel my shame and deep down I knew fully that the nightmare should have hit me and Lenola lying lifelessly was entirely my responsibility. However as Evelyn’s voice echoed down the hallway along with frantic footsteps both me and Fae greeted each other with relieved eyes.

Sunlight caught Evelyn’s vivid orange curls as she strode into the room before she paused in place as if spellbound as she caught sight of Lenola lying so still and silent with Fae before gasping “Fae what happened to her!” only for Fae to sigh back “She was attacked by a monster!” Evelyn looked stunned as she edged nervously closer “A monster?” Fae nodded sullenly at Evelyn “It came from your phone?” Evelyn looked at Fae in confusion as she stepped closer and replied “From my phone?” she seemed so confused as she uttered “What has she been watching?” Fae glanced down at me and in harmony so did Evelyn, her deep green eyes begging for context as I softly sighed back “The videos where the monster chases the singing girl?” Evelyn’s eyes lit up and she squealed in delight “Dreams of the moon!” her voice echoing a deep rooted love for the show as she uttered in confusion “But how did you get Hirovashi to come out of my phone?” she paused in amazement and looked curiously at the screen of her phone as Fae looked upon her and asked “So how do we fix what the monster has done to Lenola?”

Evelyn looked at me and calmly asked “Rowena, tell me exactly what happened?” I glanced at Lenola and sobbed “She defended me from that monster and it attacked her with a dream!” my voice trembling as tears erupted from within me as Evelyn gasped “Oh a nightmare?” Fae rolled her eyes and sighed deeply at Evelyn “Tell me what happens in the program!” Evelyn smiled with glistening eyes “Well, Hirovashi the prince falls in love with princess Lavender, but she doesn’t want to be a princess, but Hirovashi is evil and tries to force her to be a princess by casting a spell on her, but the goddess of the moon punishes Hirovashi by turning him into an ugly and scary monster called Hirovashi the Dreamcrusher, and the only one who can break the spell is princess Lavender by singing a special song to him but for her to sing the song he has to make her fall in love with him but she runs away from him because he is an ugly and evil monster that crushes dreams” Fae’s jaw almost hit the floor as did mine and Savena’s, consumed with a mix of shock and disgust as Fae asked “So how did Hirovashi the Dreamkiller” “Crusher” Evelyn cut Fae off only to be greeted with a cutting glare as Evelyn uttered “Dreamcrusher” Fae shrugged and sighed “So how did Hirovashi the Dreamcrusher end up in our house?”

Evelyn paused to think, looked warily at me and then shyly looked up to a growingly impatient Fae and shrugged nervously cautiously uttering back “I don’t know?” Fae placed her face in her hand and shook her head and sighed through her fingers “So how do we fix what Hirovashi has done to Lenola?” Evelyn paused briefly and looked nervously at me before a smile came on her face again “Well to break the spell we have to get princess Lavender to sing to Lenola” Fae slowly looked through her eyelids at Evelyn and chided “So how do we get the princess out of your phone?” Evelyn glanced at me with an even more nervous look than before and took a careful breath before blurting out “I did hear a rumour on the internet that if someone kissed the phone screen at the exact moment in episode four hundred and sixty five that Hirovashi tried to kiss princess Lavender that you can get them both out?” Fae exhaled a deep and very long breath with rage bubbling within her tone as she asked “So how do we get the dreamkiller” “Crusher” Evelyn butted in again to correct Fae, who rather than getting angrier suddenly became far calmer than before but Evelyn along with me and Savena knew she was far from content.

Fae glanced over to Savena who now sat with Lenola resting in her lap “Savena, can you just cover Lenola’s ears for me please?” her voice incredibly soft yet her tone fully commanding, Savena nodded as Evelyn questioned “But if Lenola is trapped within one of Hirovashi’s nightmares and you cover her ears how will she hear princess Lavender sing?” Fae glanced to Savena again “Don’t be shy, cup them nice and tightly, we don’t want Lenola to hear any scary noises now do we?” Savena nervously pressed her palms firmly against Lenola’s ears as my spine began to tingle as Fae sighed to Evelyn “So the monster came from your phone?” Evelyn nodded “The Dreamcrusher” as Fae probed “Lenola is trapped in a nightmare?” Evelyn nodded “Yes” as Fae softly asked “But you don’t know how to wake her up without the princess?” Evelyn paused and looked down nervously “No?” Fae paused and took a long slow breath “Evelyn?” her green eyes met with purple eyes of fury as rage finally took control and Fae unleashed, screaming at her “What the actual…….”
