It's been a while and I'm not completely familiar with the area, but near or in Big Sur and I think it was taken from the side of Rt 1? Or maybe Rt 9... I'm not really sure.

I agree! I've never seen such crystal blue water anywhere else.

Yes.

The water up there is just gorgeous. It's the same in Washington and Oregon, exept it gets a lot colder.

I believe I was on Route 1 in or around Big Sur.
