Description Some of these characters may look familiar to those who follow my work. These are the absolute final designs for the main cast of The Chronicles of Ademar.

Specifically, this is Rechts, the silent bodyguard to Advisor Kimodo. A massive wolf -- standing a good few feet taller than the rest of the cast -- this dangerous and powerful beast is Kimodo's right-hand man and is in charge of his well-being. Needless to say, he's very intimidating to the rest of the cast.

I won't say anything else here about character personalities or their role in the story. You'll just have to wait for the book to find out more about that, won't you?

All of these images are finished in ink wash and watercolors. Nothing digital here, baby! The actual comic will be done in the same way and will look identical to the style presented here. Sort of a cel-shaded traditional ink wash palette.

Once I get it up and running, the official site will be found at LilythePanda.com . Not all too much to see there at the moment, but I'll have the site finished soon.

really cool, Jon! Skimming through all of the characters, I must commend you for really paying attention to making your characters different in size and shape, making your cast all the more colorful and aesthetically pleasing! I think this guy is one of my favorites, too, just by the design and all I agree with Whit that he looks intimidating but not overly-muscular.

OoOooh! He looks so fierce!

I love how big and bulky you made him but he still looks realistic ( as much as anthropomorphic wolf can). I can tell that he can kick ass but he doesn't look like he just downed a bottle of steroids.

Yay Rechts!

doesnt "Rechts" mean "right" (as in the direction) in German?

Yes indeed. There is also a character named "Links," meaning "left." A lot of my work with Ademar utilizes the German language.
