ooh...you paint very...i don't know...smoothly. great compostition is what i mean to say, i guess. is that a wash in the background? i wasn't sure that oils could do that. is the wash done with turpentine? I'm a beginner, sorry. so many questions.

peter-gronquist In reply to anipig [2005-06-29 06:32:21 +0000 UTC]

the wash is created by thining the paint down with galkyd (gamblin medium) and gamsol (oms)... i'm totally addicted to galkyd, check it out.

wow, such a unique style. Theres some surrealism in there *tries to spot it in everything*... hohoho. Congrats on the daily deviation, you really deserve it for this. *checks out gallery*

Also, I love the colours, although I think the flash reflection kinda obstructs parts and colours at the top, but that always happens to paintings, when you take a photo- it sucks lol. -_-

Very nice, very surreal! The smooth painting job on the skin of these two looks great, it makes them look solid and gives them a real sense of presence. I also like the simplistic background, it compliments the figures and doesn't distract from them. And lastly, the hats. Gotta love the hats.
