One thing you have to consider while making a male Pridelander OC (and you want to fit with canon) is “where were they during the events of [time we probably would have seen the entire pride]?”

Sometimes that answer can be pretty cheeky, like “he was slightly out of frame, we just missed him”

So, here’s one of those ‘out of frame’ moments for some OCs/semicanon characters—Nala’s father, Reiji, with her brothers Mheetu and Elewa I guess there’s a follow-up question of why he wasn’t asleep next to his wife and other kid, that night I think he and the baby conked out early, and everybody else just sorta filed in around throughout the night, leading to everybody being in fairly random places
