Quick bio I threw together for an event happening in my friend group.
This OC's still a work-in-progress, so everything here is subject to change.

TITLE: Little devil with the red eyes (and a temper to match).
NAME: Maximilian "Max" McNerdy
AGE: 14
OCCUPATION: Student (currently truant).

PERSONALITY:
Serious, aggressive, has little tolerance for others' stupidity or bullshit.
Has a childish mean streak to him; likes to play pranks on his siblings.
But can be polite/respectful towards people he considers intelligent or mature.

WEAPON: Sword (will design and name this later.)

LIKES: Collecting swords, portable video games, graphic novels, strategy games.
DISLIKES: Being short, homework, immature adults, weak or stupid people, bell peppers (and spicy food in general).

DESCRIPTION:
Bored with living in a small town, Max is frustrated at his own lack of power and control over his own life. Prefers going on adventures, battling monsters, and accomplishing quests like the heroes in the stories and games he enjoys. Very independent, Max hates relying on others and tends to be a loner. Sees no point in going to school and generally has a pessimistic outlook on life. He tags along on the road trip because school sucks to complete his rare weapons collection.

FAMILY:
- Youngest of the three McNerdy children, Max is usually fed up with his siblings' rowdy antics.
- Sometimes acts as the mediator when Gertie and Rusty have one of their usual arguments (or just yells at both of them to shut up, whichever works.)
- Max is often annoyed with Rusty's lack of planning and recklessness, but is grateful for everything his older brother's done for him in their parent's absence. They actually have a friendly rivalry of sorts (ranging from who is stronger in battle to petty board games), regardless of the age difference. Max appreciates that Rusty doesn't underestimate or belittle him like most adults tend to do.
- Since his sister Gertie isn't exactly the best example of one, Max has developed somewhat of a misconception that most girls are dumb... However, Max cherishes his sibling bond with Gertie; they often spar, play games together, and geek out about different fighting techniques.

STRENGTHS:
- Thinks before he acts, likes to use logic to solve problems.
- Difficult, but once you've earned his trust, he's the most reliable of the three.
- Other than losing his temper around his siblings, he tends to stay calm in stressful situations and rarely panics.
- Willing to and enjoys learning new things, concepts, fighting techniques, strategies, etc.

FLAWS/WEAKNESSES:
- Can be overly smug and prideful at times; thinks he's the smarter than his older siblings.
- Has a tendency to overthink or overplan; sometimes too reliant on notes and books.
- Rare, but sometimes dwells on or gets depressed about his problems or defeats.
- Judges people too quickly, without bothering to get to know them better.
- Others (especially his peers) consider him "too serious," needs to lighten up.

RANDOM TRIVIA:
- Has two scars on his head (not visible due to hair) from sword training incidents and other mischief.
- Is a hoarder; collects everything from cards to books to weapons; much to the chagrin of his family.
- Rarely gets crushes but gravitates towards mature, intelligent girls. Though he is too shy to ask them out and gets nervous and flustered around girls he likes.
- Is a decent cook; he just patiently follows instructions from recipes.
