Original vs a lighter cream colour c: I don't know but let me tell you my dilemma;His signum, his whole character is based on blue eyes and dark around the eyes. My sorta initial mistake in this design is that i ALSO made the rest of him exactly that xD blue and dark, does the signum vanish in the rest?
I pondered about a light colour.
Because his character is not necessarily dark, but rather cold, and therefore interpreted as dark. And a nearly white colour combined with icy blue can give that light but still cold look.
I'd love to hear your opinions, or maybe he can be both designs? Or would he lose the sense of what is "him"?
Since I have pondered also about having him have a happy vs angry or yin vs yang design, kind of based on the mood he has etc, hmmmmmm
I want it to work long term ,w,

I really liked the blue with the cream underside, that was really nice and quite honestly what made me adore him in the first place .w. It worked a lot with his personality, because it was a peaceful, cool color instead of a bright "Look at Me!" sort of tone that just isn't really him... But I mean, vanilla's cool too

I have an idea. Y'know how some foxes have a winter and summer coat that are each different colors? The blue and cream coats could be like that! Not necessarily seasonal, so it could be emotion or form based after all.
Another thing, I personally think that the cream color would look better less saturated, or even as a warm grey.
But in the end it's most important to stay true to what you want!

Hm =3 yeah I've had that idea too, well the cream is almost white xD hard to keep it even less saturated and still have a colour.

I like the original but if you want to change it then sure! I'd suggest something a bit different than the cream colored one but somewhere in that area since that's what your longing for!
Do whatever you feel fits it best

Well in another pic I tried white c: which fitted him well in my eyes, but when I tried myself I felt he always seemed unfinished, like a white colour in preparation to fill with something else, so I chose the more creamy one since well I love the colour itself xD almost towards golden retriever

You could change the color around his eyes to pop a bit more, maybe a much darker blue-gray?Β
I think the cream design makes him look more friendly than you may want to portray him as. To be honest though, with his original design I never really imagined him as "cold" or "dark", but rather kinda like a mischievous troublemaker who means no harm.Β Β

Well I guess I should make a character sheet where I go though his persona xD right now it's mostly in my memory, I kinda like to make him more happy or easy going, I wonder if the cream would help there, maaan this is hard

I like the original. I've always loved the steely blue. Also, I think it looks a bit odd with the cream body and the contrasting blue mane.
