How do you make the feather workable? Meaning being able to paint on it like that? Absolutely stunning!

Umm, spray varnish, followed by a layer or two of gesso (although you can still just use regular white paint). Then paint as you would anything else

Uhh, well the brushes are very small to begin with. Umm good lighting to see by, aaand just a steady hand I suppose. No magnifying glass needed
