Description

Daxter is my first anthro plush with a wire skeleton, allowing him to pose and stand by himself.
He is about 40h of work, made of minky with machine-embroidered details, sculpted toes and removable gloves !
He is 50 cm tall from head to feet.
He can freely pose his fingers, neck and head position, feet and ankles, and slightly pose his arms and body. His skeleton doesn't suit him much for cuddles but he is great for display !

He was a really nice plush to make. Maybe it is because I draw mostly humans and worked in 3D with mostly human that I feel so at ease with anthro patterns ? To me they're much easier to pattern than quadruped or other odd beasts (I still love to plush those ones though ! )

Oh man, that is a sick looking Daxter there! If you ever reopen commissions, I may be interested in a Daxter depending on prices. If I had this, it could be part of my improvement to my Jak cosplay XD

Thank you ! My commissions should re-open next summer (July-August 2018) I would probably ask for around 600€ to remake him. If you are interested, feel free to note me for more details.

Hello!

Thank you for participating in the February Comment Month event! I am sorry that this is a late comment. I hope you'll excuse me!

First of all, I have to say that I really like this character. And you did a great job with making the plush toy. I love the multiple shots of the figure in different poses. And they really go very far to show how much work it went into making this plush toy. All the details look beautifully done. (And I love his expression!) The other thing that really strikes me is the use of blue plush material for the background for all the photos. I think it's a brilliant choice. And it really goes very far to showcase your plush toy. The bright contrast really helped to bring out the details of your hard work.

I think the biggest thing that detracts away from the presentation is the fact that we can see he was put on a chair (looks like a sofa?) when these photos are taken. When the picture is cropped close (like in the large photo), it doesn't really hurt the presentation. But in the smaller photo near the corner (the one showing Daxter's back), the arms of the sofa chair really shows up very prominently. I think it's quite unfortunate that we end up seeing the sofa instead of focusing on the plush toy itself. Next time, if the plush toy can stand on its own, you might want to consider using the back of the sofa as a backdrop instead of the seat of the sofa.

I hope this helps. But I still have to say, you did a great job! Keep up the good work!

Hey, thank you for your constructive comment ! I do need a better photo set-up but by winter time this armchair is probably the best lit place I can get :/ I'll try to find a better one though ! Thank you again !

Hello!

You're more than welcome! I am glad to hear that my comments were of use to you. You are right, sometimes it's very difficult to find the right place to take photographs. You just have to make do with what you can, really. I still think you did a great job nonetheless. So please keep up the good work!

Thank you very much for participating in this month's "Comment Month" activity and we hope to see you and your beautiful works soon! And if you have the time, please feel free to drop by and leave a few comments for your fellow artisans and crafters, too.

Ohh, he is lovely! The best one I've seen, actually. Good job! c:
I love his grin and paws (thank you for making the pawpads and paws plantigrade, like they are in canon! <3 ) and the fabric colors are spot on.

Hi, I'm here for Comment Month !

Wow, a 50cm tall plush - that's very impressive! Your plush is very attention-grabbing and detailed; I really like Daxter's grin and pose, as well as his bright color scheme . I would've liked to see more of the features you mentioned shown in the collage, such as the removed gloves and more examples of the poses he can make, but the piece and presentation is nice as is

The blue background is a great choice, providing a nice contrast against Daxter's warm colors and accenting his eyes. I would recommend putting your watermark closer to one of the corners, however, as its location in the most visually chaotic section of the collage (the intersection of the three photos) makes it difficult to read your name and appreciate all of its details.

Hope this helps, and keep up the excellent work!

Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave me a detailed feedback

I focused on taking the best pics showing him from all angles for DA, I actually got more photos on my facebook showing his "posability" but you're right, maybe I should include more photos in my collage

About the watermark, I don't really put it to make it "readable" to me it's more a protection than need to be annoyijng enough covering the photos, but I should definitely try to work on a better one, more readable, that could just fit in a corner instead of stomping on my photos like this. To be honest I always am unsure where to put it.

Thank you for all your kind words !

Waouh when I saw this, I was like "Aaaaah someone didn't forget the Jack's series !!" This was the best game I have ever played when I was young, great memories. For your plush, this is just great ! It's pretty cool to be able moving fingers one by one and toes ! You did a really good job on it !

If you've got a Playstation 3, I do believe they've been ported to a Master Collection of the original game trilogy. Not remastered, but ported in their original glory. If not, you can watch all the cutscenes on youtube. XD Definitely worth it. Daxter has great lines.
