Description 2010

I'm starting to work on a series of smaller works for local gallery holiday shows and for the Holiday Show at Susan Kristjansson Gallery.

8" x 8"
Acrylic on framed maple.

I used some new mediums on this one...some clear tar and interference. Soooo, it looks this way straight on, but if you walk to either side it changes. And that intense blue showing on top is actually translucent.

Expect to see more work soon!

Yeah it does look translucent! At first I thought they were very thin layers of oil. Great job!

Beautiful, Peggy, I like the lighter but still saturated palette. I've tried those interference colors for acrylics, this must really rock in person.

That's a cool idea. Maybe I will shoot a little video and post it to my blog. I'll see if I can capture it.

A small weeping willow of course, on a river bank with autumn coloured bushes.

Hello Peggy. I hope you are well.

Very nice, Peggy. I used interference for the first time, recently. It's hard to tell from a picture but it really can create a great effect.
