Parasol mushrooms are edible (if it actually is a parasol mushroom - there are similar not-so-edible species).

You're welcome. If the ring is moveable and after breaking the stalk the wound becomes pink, it's parasol mushroom. If wound becomes red, it's specimen of other edible species, yet not so tasty (for those who like mushrooms).

My pleasure. Another advice : if it has bulb with membrane around it underground, don't eat it, it's poisonous Amanita then.

this one i know about Actually I have a mushroom book, and found the parasol mushroom and it's lookalikes, so I shouldn't have too much trouble
