Description
St Catherine is one of my favorite Dominican Saints. She was the only woman who was able to stand up to a Pope and tell him he was wrong. Her writings are a beautiful testament to her love of God. She was declared a Doctor of the Church.
I painted her habit as a cream color as that was the original color. The habits were made of wool. I made the scapular white to give some contrast. She was a member of the Mantelale or the Third Order of St Dominic.
