I honestly don't see why people do that. I mean, what's wrong with Kairi anyway? There HAS to be a reason for all the hate, right?

There are, but i cant call them legit reasons:
1- "She is so useless!!" ...even though he brought Sora back from his Heartless form, didnt bought any of what Axel told her, went as far as leaving her beloved home just to search for her firends, escaped from her cell at the Org. XIII castle, was ready to FACE SAIX just so he could escape, and had the courage to face the Heartless... yeah, my ass is useless.
2- "She wants Sora to be with her instead of letting him be with Riku!!" ...because both of them have a crush with each other! You can cut the sexual tension between them with a spoon! Sora loves Riku as A FRIEND, not as a lover, and there is no doubt that Kairi feel something for Sora that is more than just friendship; heck, even Namine acknowledges this in Chain of Memories. Add to that the countless times Sora blushes everytime a Disney pair shows affection for each other (like with Elizabeth and Will, Jack and Sally, etc.). Sure, he is happier to see Riku, but thats because he was lost in the Realm of Darkness, thus worrying him about his life, to make sure he was alright, but he was aware that Kairi was safe in the Islands.
Just because a guy shows affection for another guy, DOESNT MEAN THAT THEY LOVE EACH OTHER AS LOVERS!! Geez...


In other words: They hate her because she is not as badass as Sora and Riku (though KHIII might shut them up) and because she stands between SoraXRiku yaoi (again, even though is more than obvious that they love each other, and not just as friends, and that if they kiss.

Fangirls. Who the f*ck understands them?

I know the feeling. Okay, here's something to think about. If people find Kairi useless, how is that any more justified than saying that all of the world specific characters, like Auron or Jack (either one), are useless?

As for the second one... I find that QUITE disturbing! Seriously, why would ANYONE do that to Sora and Riku!? It's just as you said, Sora had found out that Riku was safe from the realm of darkness, so of course he'll have a stronger reaction than with Kairi!
