This was originally 100% watercolored. But the Furret was turning out terribly and getting steadily more awful with every stroke. I was just about to rip it off my watercolor block and chuck it in the trash when it occurred to me that I could use colored pencils to save it.
I'm glad, too, since I really like the actual Furret drawing. So cute!I haven't used colored pencils in a while... Kinda rusty. But I think it came out well considering. I added touches of pencil to the grass but left the sky alone. The Furret's body is now completely done in colored pencil, with no watercolor at all showing. The color came out really pretty and vibrant, though, and I'm sure the watercolor underlayer is to thank for that.
Enjoy! But don't stare too long or you'll get cavities from the cuteness.

Wow, what a seriously adorable little Furret you've drawn here. I'm glad you didn't chuck this, as the coloring is really great. I can't stop looking at the darn thing, it's so cute! The eyes, smile... just neat!
I forget, do Furrets have noses? I know Meowth don't, but I seem to recall a nose for Furret. Ah well, looks cuter this way!

Furret's official design doesn't appear to have a nose. I originally sketched one in for realism's sake but it just didn't seem right, so I erased it.
