if you want a sniper-ish characterization of finland, then check out Scandanavia and the World, its sorta similar to Hetalia, but its definitly much different as well.

HAHAHA, This slayed me. I didn't have high expectations for the show, that is why I don't hate it. It's funny because it's so terrible. I also didn't have very high expectations because my friend jake expressed the fact that 90% of the fandom are...well lets keep this kind and just say a bit off.

I don't know if anyone's told you this already, but these are JAPANESE stereotypes. The creator used the stereotypes he'd heard, the one's people told him, and the one's he found. I doubt he was looking for American stereotypes when he was creating the characters. But I do have to agree with you, the show's pretty f*ckin' stupid. But that's why I love it

For some reason, I expected Hetalia to be a serious anime... I love Hetalia, even when it's completely different from what I expected. I decided to take it as cute entertainment, not history studying. And I do respect the sane fans, we need the sane people... And I do admit that I'm a pervert, who kept watching Hetalia just to see how the countries were personified just to have something to turn into yaoi... I'm a perv
