Don't take this the wrong way. I love your work and I envy your artistic ability, so please don't let these ramblings of an Engineering major get you down.
So you take the roller delayed blowback receiver of the MG42/50, remove the belt feed capability(+rotate the feed mechanism so that it obstructs bipod use), and add a Kalashnikov-esqe gas system. Feasible. ย You, then, extend the otherwise comfortable stock to a length of pull that would be too long for the biggest human being on the planet. Easily fixed. Things get bad when added the Kalashnikova forend and gas system without removing Gruner's big ass barrel housing assembly because that weighed enough already, but the aforementioned forend gets in the way of the quick change barrel mechanism (that is if the gas block allowed that anyway) which was probably the heavy barrel housing's greatest function.
Once again, You kick all kinds of ass with a digital paintbrush and this looks like a badass concept. These were just some (hopefully constructive) criticisms on the function of the theoretical operation.

So it's an MG receiver and barrel, with a PK stock, an MG34 drum and an AK/RPK gas piston assembly? This is.... bizarre, to say the least.

Looks like a cross between a Russian PK and a MG-42
