I think that the Baseball Furies should have put up more of a fight than they did in the film...because I think that this is an example of an interesting concept that was not given its proper execution.

I am working on an RPG project at the moment which takes place in a sort of lawless hellhole of a world and I have a gang called the Strikeouts which is loosely based on the Baseball Furies. They are deeply feared by the other gangs in their region.
