This piece took so long to finish, just because Kingdom hearts is such a special game to me. My fave character has to be Roxas. I love that he doesn't fit the typical hero frame. He doesn't deserve the ending he got though, when his summer vacation ended
. I hope he's a usable character in KH3!
Listening to "Roxas's Theme / The Other Promise" makes me cry, every single time.

Aww, what a lovely artwork. And it brings back so many memories. I was really annoyed at first about having to play as Roxas in KH2's prologue but he grew on me so much that I tear up just thinking about the end of the prologue.
You used a really poignant moment to show their conflict and their similarities. I love how many details you included and how smooth and clean the shading looks.
Great work! It makes me wish I had finished playing 358/2.

That's actually a really good idea. The gameplay was a big part of what kept me from picking up the game again, so watching it on YouTube I could finally see how that story ended without having to despair about that battle system. Thanks!

I think Roxas was referring to Axel. I'm not really sure though.. I recommend playing 358/2! it's has the best story out of all the KH franchise, IMO.

Well I can't really explain what is it, it's just like a lack of emotion in the faces. Please don't misunderstand me it looks good and detailed but remember Roxas is fighting Sora because he wants the truth but Sora is also kinda confused in that situation.
More than fighting they look possing, again the illustration looks great and detailed but that lack of emotion is what I feel it miss.

Okay, this has to be like the greatest KH fanart I have ever laid my eyes on. Not kidding at all.
I mean, I'm a total sucker for the semi realistic style, that style which we get to see in the cinematic scenes (but I also love the normal style in the games).
And whenever I stumble across KH fanart I tend to most see them done in an anime style. It's totally okay, but DAMN! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANT TO SEE MORE OF!
I never see people making KH fanart with this style! And it's even more rare to see really well made ones like this one.
Everything is just freaking awesome. The anatomy is great, the details ARE MIND BLOWIN and gosh it's just SO GOOD.
I really hate doing line-art, but this makes me want to get better at it. Because how will I be able to make detailed stuff if I just paint everything and not using lines?
LOOK AT THOSE KEYBLADES!!!!! THEY'RE PERFECT! It's like you have traced them O_O Please tell me, did you use any references for this?

Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it. I had multiple references for the keyblades which I searched mostly online. I sketched everything on paper before constructing the lineart and I spent waaaay too much time erasing and redrawing the keyblades uggghhh.
