Paint Shop Pro has lots of brushes, textures, and filters – it's pretty much like a low-end Photoshop. Starting with a publicity still, I just trace outlines and paint things in, monkeying around with color and texture until I'm happy. I'm a quadriplegic and don't have use of my hands, so I guide everything using voice control (Dragon NaturallySpeaking software). It takes time, but that I've got plenty of!
