Progress: fav.me/d8v81oiI-I finally made it! IT TOOK ME SOOO MUCH TIME, BUT! Worth it.
I made this all inspired by my friend paper dolls...which are very good! (You should check his porfile, he does really nice things!)
And he was who challenged me and advised me to do this with a special cultural detail which is "Galo de Barcelos" from my country, Portugal!! I had a really good time doing this, and it was a great experience!
To join the pieces of the paper doll I firstly stuck big pins on a cork surface that is under that sheet illustrated with bricks, just to give it a background...
But then, as you see, I used thick cotton with a knot in both ends to join every piece of the dolls body.
Well...I just hope you all like it!!

Wonderful Paty . What an excellent, EXCELLENT addition to your gallery, and your own style and colouring make this really eye-catching and full of character. And I like your background, actually, it creates a kind of "urban" feeling. I think it shows the doll off nicely and gives context.
If you can't get the mini-brad split pins, you can also attach these together with thick cotton with a knot in both ends. It makes them a bit "dangly" but it holds them together pretty well.
After saying that though, I might start to use your pinning method on some foam-board when I'm making them. I haven't thought of doing that before.

Yeah, good idea! I think I'll do that with the thick cotton with a knot in both ends to join the pieces...because I think I will not get the mini-brad split pins so soon...and I will take a picture again and change this one the the one I am going to take...and put this one in the progress picture...BUT! If I get them I will just cut the cotton lines and join the pieces again with them.
And indeed! This is a good way to see "how is it going to work" with the big pins!
