Description
At the time I drew this piece (long before the live-action movies), I had not seen an image of Prime sitting down - he was always in a heroic stance. I wanted to see if I could draw him sitting down, but maintain his presence as a leader.This Optimus Prime cover was first created in 2001 for Antarctic Press' "CYBERTRONIAN", then later published in Image's "GENESIS - The Art of Transformers"

Awesome! Β You really get a sense of him towering over you even in a sitting position. Β And the battle-worn texture is just perfect! Β REALLY wish they hadn'tΒ pissed on his incorruptible character. I love the perspective. Almost like the POV of your average-sized human might see him, if they were sitting on his foot. The color and shading is all very nice as well, but that perspective really makes the scene.

The coloring is GREAT!!! It's just like a kid's TF book I used to read!!! The color saturation was the same!!! Everything about this ROCKS!!! Look up some TF kid's books!! Same lookin' art!!!
