it's to raise awareness, paypal takes cut of some of the payment you send so I just wanted to make sure people sent the right amount.

yeah, since Paypal takes at least 0.75 payment [depending on the amount your sending.]

If you expect payers to put forward the money to cover paypal fees (which are specifically put there as a tax for producers not consumers) the most honest thing to do is add it to the straight forward price. You list the price as $15 but that is not what it actually cost to buy it. From a consumers perspective I would rather see it it listed Price: $15.75 rather than be linked to anther site to work it out for myself. As a rule most of the adoptable creator community (and commissioners in general) are aware of the paypal fee but covering it is a courtesy not a requirement. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with making it a requirement, but you should be more straight forward in your method.

it really isn't that hard to work a calculator, it literally does the work for you. I have that up there all the time.

it's not like I say " thanks for buying my adopts, oh by the way you need to use this calculator I failed to mention." Buyers can check the amount anytime. 

I literally say to use the Paypal calculator before sending. that's pretty straightforward. 

I honestly work my best to make adopts that are hard for me to make now because of issues at home. plus I have to take care of other necessities for people who buy those adopts [like cropping the adopt and sending it to them when asked.] 

I've had zero complaints about this method of sending payment[ well before you came along.]

Anyone can refuse the extra charge. i'm not forcing them. it's there for them to see for themselves. 

it's like shipping goods, it's an extra $3 for something to be shipped to your home [unless it's free of course. ] but in my case, Paypal doesn't do anything free for it's services. 

We are the consumers, we pay the taxes, we pay store taxes, we pay shipping, why wouldn't we pay processing fees?

as a producer I work hard, I see others with methods like this and if I bought an adopt from them or commissioned someone with this requirement , I honestly wouldn't be complaining or lecturing on something they try to satisfy everyone with while having heavier things on their shoulders.

Consumers are free to look at the price and process it themselves. i'm not hiding anything. I'm not being shady. the calculator is up there for people to do themselves. 


And I honestly don't want to add more to what I have to do already.
