a warhammer 40k chainsword for my magicka costume :3Related content

I know its just a casing (empty), but there is an axle that the teeth rotate around. but the only way 2 blades can fit is if they are back-to-back with no axle, or an absurdly thin axle.
So basically, all i said was "what about the axle?"

you're right in theory..what about the axle? hate me for saying this, too..but there is no trigger. Like all chain weapons, does it run on 40k magic?

since it have a vent, i thing it have a small prometeum propelled engine that is situated in the guard... and, about the trigger, mine doesn't have it, but if you loof in some images, some of them have a small trigger in the handle and some have a button near the guard

how would the teeth actually rotate? it doesn't look like there is room.

the "body" of the chainsword it's suposed to be "empty" except for the part where the "engine" is, so inside of it its suposed to bee enought space for the teeth to rotate

Nice! What did you use to make it? Foam Core boards? Cardboard?

foam core, with some wood fom the handle to the iside (to make it more stable)

very cool. good job. It would be great to see how you put it together though. Looks like foam core, a lot of hot glue/super glue and tape. Anyway, a superb costume prop and i love the idea of using it for a magicka costume

Considering one of the robes is power armor, sounds good in my book!

in that game, the guys can have a lots of rare weapons (lightsaber, master sword from zelda, a warhammer etc.) so... why not a chainsword
