Didn't know much about it back then... didn't even have a color TV and cable until years later, not to mention internet!

Yep... used to be published from 1930 to 1940. And someone from the ELI Language Magazines (the publisher of this magazine) thought it was a good idea to use them to learn English. And it worked!
Unfortunately, I didn't have anyone to share these with back then (books and magazine weren't a thing for the communism born children) and only much, later on (when the Internet was finally a thing in Romania), I found out who the authors were. Life sure is an interesting journey
