Description Here's other patriotic pics I've taken: [link]

This pic seemed like a good candidate for sephia style black & white because this is the granddaddy of Jeep - an American icon and it helped our brave troops defeat Naziism and Imperialism in Europe, northern Africa and east Asia/Pacific realm and then a few short years later defended freedom against Communism on the Korean peninsula. 멸공 - 대한민국 만세!

This restoration is so period correct it includes the antennae, OEM tires, actual unit designations painted on the bumpers and even tire pressure stenciled on the fenders and AIRBORNE wings aka parachutist's badge on the folding windshield (hooah as Soldiers say - or hoorah for the Marines ) .

Ironically I took this pic at a trendy affluent shopping area called Rancho Carmel / Carmel Barnyard at Carmel Crossroads where the parking lots are mostly filled with Bentley, Rolls, Benz, and BMW (notice the Porsche Cayenne Turbo two spaces over ).

It's subtle but the Porsche definitely spoils the retro look
