Keep going back. The pull the original Herbie and the Lindsay Lohan Herbie out of the vault fairly often. One huge disadvantage of paying to go into the vault is that they don't allow photography down there.

This looks to be the 1997 remake Beetle, the original top was grey and the stripe went over the cloth top. The 1997 remake all had white tops, like the one in this photo. Also, the seats in the 1968 classic Herbie's seats were grayish, while the 1997 version they were white, which this museum Bug has.

Yeah, that is the actual Herbie used by the studio. The Petersen Auto Museum is fascinating because they have so many cars with unique histories like this one.
