it is some form of hybrid sunflower..grown in the hot/dry biome of the Eden Project, in Cornwall UK

..glad I could still arouse some interest with a flower shot..I tend to agree about flower pictures and was rather hesitant about it in the first place, but that orange is just too good to miss
