Description The morning after a rainstorm we drove our new (to us) Nissan X-TERRA off road for the first time. Driving to the Mescal Trail Head... it was only us and a some Jeeps and a lot of people walking through the mud. We had the dogs with us and we photographed the scenery as the light continually changed.

Bernie... thank you so much for your comments... and I am really happy that you are familiar with this area. We moved here from Wisconsin about 3 1/2 years ago... and have really upped our getting out into nature game. We love the shifts that have occurred in our lives... especially the huge shift in our time in remote and hard-to-get-to places. We are within reach of so many natural wonders of the world that we are always thinking of where to go next. I turn 75 in a couple of months and I haven't felt this good in over 50 years. I love the West!!!
