I deeply hate my scanner. It KILLED the whole shading oTL.
I hope I'll get a new one soon... because this one is prehistoric.

Anyway, warm up sketch of one of the best characters I've ever played: Soap MacTavish from Call of Duty.
I just.. can't believe that he was such a rookie in Modern Warfare and then he's freaking BADASS in MW2 ;vvvvvv;
He was the perfect character to start drawing in this new style. I'm quite satisfied with how this came out ouo.
I'm just sad because the real one is so small fffff ;n;

I still have a long, LONG way to go, since I started semi-realism just last week, but so far I'm happy C:
(yes the nose and mouth are horrible BEAR WITH ME PEOPLE ;; )
OBVIOUSLY this is semi-realism. I'm not skilled enough to take up REALISM yet. Lol.

Tools used
Mechanical pencil, 0.3 mm. HB. Sketching process.
HB pencil for relining the sketch.
2B pencil for the shading.
4B pencil for making the details (hair, eyes, beard) and relining everything.

Time taken
1 hour and a half / two hours.
