Description I saw a nice chart made by, , checked out some of the comments... and naturally I disagreed with many of his points and I decided to make A chart with the same 4 animals.
so here's my take on the concept.

As promised, things were updated, thanks to for giga weight, and for allo weight

As you may have noticed Giganotosaurus is blacked out.  don't worry, it will eventually be revealed, alongside some other large theropods.

Disclaimer: I do not take credit for the skeletal references used as bases for the silhouettes I make. Nor do I claim them as my own.

allosaurus is huge, thought it would be A.Maximus if it was that big and also be called saurophagonax

I thank you for acknowledgement and pointing out it was nice rather considering it a cancer to Paleontology and considered majorly inaccurate.

I was always fascinated by paleo charts I always found well detailed and accurate to provide information and the choices you make in color are incredible so GG my friend, GG and thanks for some of your informations and being more approachable with your opinions.

Thank you.
Well, it's quite inaccurate to current knowledge, but I don't consider it cancer. I find the spikes on the theropods excessive, and unlikely to have been. I have more gripes with the dinosaurs, and I don't consider Brolly's spinosaur to be accurate in the slightest.
I like your silhouette of the pachycephalosaur.
as a side-note:
I am brewing a massive rebuttal to some things behind the scenes, so as I said before, I will link you to it.
a lot of it will have to do with how to feather a T. rex

why didn't you use Hartman estimate for Giganotosaurus? (12.4 meters and 6.8 tonnes)

regaurdless its way better and more accurate than Asuma17 `s scale.

Probably my memory isn't working properly and I already asked this in the past, but how did the Allosaurus get so big? I thought A. fragilis was something of 9 meters at max.

Asuma17 In reply to Dontknowwhattodraw94 [2016-10-20 19:05:08 +0000 UTC]

It's from the consideration of Saurophaganax being a species of Allosaurus. It is through examinations of different Allosaurus indivduals living short lives and likely not reaching to full maturity which is represented in Saurophaganax. The biggest Allosaurus that was found up to date was specimen AMNH 680 estimated at 9.7 m (32ft long) because Saurophaganax including Epanterias are based fragmentary finds the final results are still debatable. The only evidence to resolves this conundrum are fossil bones found from a Saurophaganax located from Texas.

kirkseven In reply to Asuma17 [2016-10-23 02:34:39 +0000 UTC]

theres still no way to get a 13 meter Saurophaganax

AFAIK

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Asuma17 In reply to kirkseven [2016-10-23 03:12:48 +0000 UTC]

Look I am not addressing this you anymore. 5 pieces of evident facts can confirm a debate and from what I count there are 7 valid points that can confirm Saurophaganax is its own species more than representing an fully grown adult Allosaurus.

Unless the study more on those Saurophaganax fossils and provide more evidence this discussion is done and over with because there is nothing really else to add in.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

kirkseven In reply to Asuma17 [2016-10-23 05:32:49 +0000 UTC]

i agree with the idea of Saurophaganax being it own species.

i thought you were referring to its size as being a separating characteristic when it really isn't.

Saurophaganax is about a meter longer than the largest Allosaurus, so size is a weak argument imo.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Asuma17 In reply to kirkseven [2016-10-23 05:55:23 +0000 UTC]

Yes and 2 + 4 in this case equals 6. Convert that bigger, the biggest Allosaurus measures at 32ft while Saurophaganax measures 36ft. You understand where I am coming from now glad to know you also acknowledge the idea of Saurophaganax being its own species.

Also I was using size as a valid fact to point the differences in the creatures. If it seems to be a bit misunderstanding then guilty is charged on my part. That is your opinion of the method, however I find every little piece studied on a dinosaur to be the utmost valuable in solving a puzzle, even if they're fragmentary finds they hold some answer we just don't know about yet.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

kirkseven In reply to Asuma17 [2016-10-23 06:15:14 +0000 UTC]

Saurophaganax is some what smaller than 36 ft (most likely)
34-36 ft could be a good size range for it at the moment.

But yes, this is still out sizing the largest allosaurus by a few ft at least.
I also agree with almost everything in the second paragraph you wrote.

Thank you for being respectful to me as well, it makes discussion a lot easier.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Asuma17 In reply to kirkseven [2016-10-23 17:06:50 +0000 UTC]

That is reasonable, but some estimates have conclude it to likely be around 43ft; in contender with Giganotosaurus.

Thank you, and it is true. I generally think with Paleontology these days it is starting to gear back to when Paleontologist that were very irrational and pretty much overlooking every little aspect within the finds; we have some outstanding Paleontologists these days who take on new methods of discovering more evidence, but this only so far within the range of certain dinosaurs. If more methods like DNA testing or examination of soft tissues were taken more considerably, then maybe there would be more to solving the puzzles of dinosaurs or maybe getting a proper distinction of what an already dinosaur looks like in relation with the family it is closest too.

And the same goes here. I thank you for acknowledging my resource and research as well as being respectful too.

kirkseven In reply to Asuma17 [2016-10-23 17:13:46 +0000 UTC]

On the 13 meter estimates, most if not all the estimates that big are usally out dated or the people who use the figure are unaware of how old it is.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Asuma17 In reply to kirkseven [2016-10-23 17:38:47 +0000 UTC]

Well as it may indicate, the Saurophaganax seems to be an adult. But nobody is really certain on how old this specimen was, that is why I suggested more research.
