Description Just 86 dinosaurs playing around. Happy Dinovember 2019.
This is an update to an image I did a few years ago to incorporate new findings, new models, etc. It's a huge file - 21mb, so apologies for long load times if you're on a slower connection.

Wow, Shantungosaurus dwarfs Lambeosaurus.

You know, I think Thomas Carr's study on Tyrannosaurus's "lips" is way more accurate, especially since dinosaurs are more closely related to birds and crocodiles than lizards.

No disagreement there. I also favor Currie, Bell, et. al's paper arguing against feathered integument on large derived tyrannosaurs. This tyrannosaur was done as a commission for a group of UK paleontologists for a book next year, so it's made to their specifications

So in other words, Dinosaurs are extremely diverse.

This is marvellous. I just wish there was a clearer way of labelling without interfering with the brilliant artwork.

I love how much Dinocheinus has changed since I was a kid.Β  Back then, all the books were "it was a colossal carnosaur that used its enormous claws to hunt prey and was feared by everything."Β  Now it's "eh, actually it was mostly a plant eater that maybe ate the occasional small vertebrate, and it was a common prey item for Tarbosaurus."
