Species Name: Dragon-fairy
Type: Fairy
Appearance: About 10cm (4 inch) tall. Green skin and a dragon-like tail. Two black horns on the head with green hair in two braids that end as snakes. Two yellow dragon-like wings en usually carrying an emerald or other stone.
Origin: Some fairies looking for nice gems entered a dragon's lair. The dragon found out about it and said he would curse them if they couldn't answer his three riddles. The riddles were too hard for them and the fairies were transformed into dragon-fairies.
Reproduction: They usually stay with the same partner for many years. The children are raised by all the dragon-fairies. There is no such thing as a parent.
Element: Earth.
Magic: They can charge gems with energy to light their homes or the way home from a late party.
Habitat: High trees where they live in colonies.
Diet: Leaves, berries and fireflies.
Domestication: Just don't even try. They are way too cocky to be held at home.
Curious Facts: If you encounter one, they will always ask you for a riddle, but they loose their interest quite quickly when they notice it's not one of the three riddles they are looking for. Although they are very dragon-like they do not like fire and stay away from it as far as possible.
