It has been a long time since I've made a cake and... I'm out of practice ><
This cake was made for Yoda's "My Little Pony Winter Wrap Up Party!"

Winter wrap up is all about cleaning up after winter, and welcoming in spring... hence half the cake is spring themed, and half is winter themed.

Please excuse the photo quality... my sister photographed the cake and sent the pic to me via Facebook (since my camera was overwhelmed by the awesomeness of MLP and died -_- ). If I get a better photo later, I'll post it (I do have some close ups as well... they may yet see the light of day )

Here are the facts : Chocolate cake base, white chocolate and coconut covered ice-cream-cones for the trees, wafer biscuit and white chocolate for the jetty and path, chocolate covered peanuts for the pebbles, candy coated chocolate drops for flowers, lolly snakes and blue clouds and blue candy coated chocolates for the waterfall, blue jelly for the lake (there is also a white chocolate coating under this to stop the jelly soaking into the cake which I had to let set before adding the jelly), green coconut on icing for 'spring' and white coconut on icing for snow/winter, an off white satin ribbon to cover the edges, plus My Little Pony figurines scattered everywhere (set into place with white chocolate).

Cutting - Easy! The only cutting required was the hollow for the lake and waterfall
Icing - Easy (just a generous layer of plain icing)
Decorating: Time consuming. It was easy, but there were many steps that had to set before more could be done etc.
Time – It’s hard to judge the time this took to make, because there were so many elements that had to set! It probably took the better part of an afternoon in the end.
Cakes used - 1 medium round cake. I used a new recipe which held together really well, but since I left the party early I have no idea how it tasted XD
