I got for the second secret santa I joined. and I chose to do their lioness character Kifa. It took me ages to come up with a background then I decided to try using only a limited colour pallet (purples and an orange yellow). I'm happy with the result. It took me so long because I drew most of the reeds individually and shaded each one.

It's done now though, and I hope it's not late (I was planning on submitting it yesterday but I forgot I would be away) I really hope you like it anyway. I put a lot of work in it and I didn't use a reference! First half-way decent background I have ever drawn that I didn't use a reference for any part! I know that lions wouldn't actually be walking through a swamp at any time in their life but lets just ignore that little fact, ok?
