For all the people thinking this is Eve, here's some of my theorycrafting:

You might actually be right, as they both are 'products' of Tearju Lunatic. Eve's past has been explained pretty early in the anime and manga, whereas Yami's past is later revealed in To-Love-Ru Darkness. As Tearju appears in both series, either Yabuki is a lazy person, or one might believe that Eve and Yami are actually the same person and both mangas might be connected in some way.

I've read somewhere that Golden Darkness's design was based on Eve (Black Cat). The mangaka (art for To-Love-ru; story & art for Black Cat) is the same person, Yabuki Kentarou.
