"Hobbit pipeweed." Whatever you'd like to think that is! (Tolkien himself was a little conflicted about how the Shire was Merrie Old England with tobacco and potatoes.)

I think I'm just happy (nay, several flavors of ecstatic actually) to see an orc who isn't bloody GREEN for a change.

I mean, he is, but I see your point that he's not staggeringly saturated green.

*looks again*
Okay I can see it but only through the power of suggestion. I'd wonder about the state of my laptop's screen but I doubt that's it. I *am* however used to having differences of opinion on what colours are what, esp. where blues and greens are concerned.
I don't *think* I'm colour blind....

This isn't an obvious thing, so please forgive me if I'm restating stuff you already know. Saturation level affects colors - a completely desaturated color will just be some sort of gray, a completely saturated color will be incredibly vivid. A little saturation goes a long way (because real life isn't all that saturated, it sort of lends things a brighter, more cartoony look - I used to be *really* exuberant about saturated color). So he's a very desaturated green, with blue and purple worked into highlight and shadow areas.

Ironically, half-orcs are excellent as monks in 4E D&D: their ability score bonuses are to strength and dexterity. A monk's primary ability score is dexterity and strength is one of the class's secondary scores.
