The Felpool's ears droop, his shoulders shuddering faintly at the touch. No, of course it hasn't killed him. He's here, and Leon's talking to him, standing beside him. It's as if the realization of just what could have happened in the span of time that's passed since they'd last parted ways suddenly hits him then. It's easy to see that the past situations have affected Adol.
He's missed him. It's just as with Claude, with Rena, with the others- Adol's also become a close friend, almost like a big brother. So why has he been putting on a front, when it's probably been so obvious to everyone else that he was upset when Adol wasn't there when he'd arrived. Is it because he was mad, and just didn't want to admit it? Stubborn as well, he'd let himself slip back into boy genius mode without really realizing it. No need to pretend though. And with Adol, it was always easy to be himself. So why should he hold back any longer?
Leon turns abruptly to face Adol, his lower lip quivering. "Adol-niichan..!" he cries, throwing his arms around the redhead. He's here. He's -here-.

There's a bit of a stumble- Adol actually was not expecting that. He does catch himself, and quickly returns the embrace from his friend. Adol quickly moves to simply pick Leon up and return the hug with a tight embrace of his own. There's not really any need to say anything. It's easy for him to understand that just being /there/ is enough to help comfort the Felpool.
Eventually, the young swordsman sets his head on Leon's shoulder, closing his eyes tightly. Afterall, the kid is serving as a stark reminder for something- this is why he fights. This is why he pushes forward, no matter what, so that he can ensure the safety of more than just those close to him but everyone who could be caught up in the result of everything.
That's what he told Stahn, wasn't it? He strives for everyone. That gives him his purpose. It's especially the moments when he finds those that he truly cares about that serve as a true reminder.
"....oh, it's going to be alright, Leon..." He finally says this as he sets the boy on the ground. "Everything's going to be alright." -and that's it. That's the smile that's been long gone. "There isn't any reason to cry- you've not lost anything." He taps the kid on the head idly. "...any friendship can last over hundreds, even /thousands/ of miles... and sometimes, there will be the times when the paths of those who once traveled together have separated will be reunited again. It was only inevitable that we'd meet again."
