Where to start...

Well, I think I must start with the background. I agree with Elly that there is a very fine painterly quality to it. But what I find to be so very enchanting is that, besides the painterly quality, there is a sense of otherworldly quality to it as well. It's almost like the trees themselves are whispering of the eminent doom awaiting the poor Ophelia.

I simply love the fact that you have used bright colours instead of a dark colour scheme. For, even though, it is a sad fate which awaits the dear Ophelia, there is still so much beauty to be found in her sacrifice. I think your picture really manages to show this fact by using the lighter colour scheme.
