History:
Although it is a bustling and active camp nowadays, the camp used to be completely uninhabited when SkyClan first settled into the territories. Their first camp, founded by Burningstar, had been wedged deep within the stark mountain range. They had grown accustomed to harsh conditions and prey that would beg the question of who was really hunting who. Despite the harsh conditions, they were able to avoid any and all conflict by simply being too far of reach of the other clans. The foothills where they reside nowadays simply was known as some pristine hunting grounds and nothing more.

This all changed when a mudslide devastated their mountainous home one leaf-bare afternoon. The whole camp had been wiped out and many trees, boulders, and most significantly, Skyclan cats were lost; it quickly became one of SkyClan's biggest tragedies. Under the leadership of Cloudstar, the clan migrated closer to the foothills and became slightly nomadic thanks to the sheer devastation that the mudslide left. Although the mudslide is primarily known for the disastrous reputation it carries with it, the mudslide managed to do some good for their foothills. The newly introduced silt coated the top of the hills with soil rich with minerals that the grasslands frantically wanted. As a result, meadowborn flowers exploded across the landscape. The sheer beauty of it coupled with the practicality of dens and clearings from the upturned trees, Cloudstar decided to settle her clan in the hopeful grasslands and was arguably one of the most vital decisions she ever made as a leader.

The post-mudslide foothills had a portion of their pine trees torn from the top of their hills, causing the area's meadows to be reborn. The post mudslide territory varies greatly from the mountains that Burningstar hoped for them to adapt to initially.

The first den to be established was the leader's den; the cats discovered a knothole in the mighty cottonwood tree in camp. Since the tree also acted as a unique vantage point to look upon the camp with, it became an unofficial meeting spot before Mallowstar solidified and gave the location it's name. It could hold up to one cat and it was well elevated. Despite this being established when Cloudstar was still a leader, since expecting kits not long after they settled in this camp, she had to move to the nursery and would flee the territories before she could inhabit the den at all. Mallowstar would later become the first leader to occupy the space.

The nursery, warrior's den, and apprentice's den was established not long after. With Cloudstar baring her kits, a nursery would be needed to accommodate the new cats and an apprentice's den would need to be established for them to grow into. Not only that, but the warriors of the clan, such as the newly named Beeskip and Mothwatcher, were becoming more fatigued and needed an established place to sleep if they wanted to be productive. Later, Frostfire and Hazelpaw would go onto be among one some of the first inhabitants of the new apprentice's den. All three dens were burrowed in some degree, but unlike the purely soil nursery, the apprentice's den and warrior's den were forged out of walls of some of the various flowers that grew there.

The medicine cat's den was established eventually. It was built by many warriors by tunneling down into the roots of the tree; a tactic that they grew fond of after watching how well the other dens seemed to be working. Robinflutter and Shadestep, the then medicine cats, would end up creating a system of tiny holes and things hung up on roots in order to organize their medicines. The loamy soil is easy to manipulate and can accommodate a lot of change if they need it.

The elder's den was admittedly an afterthought. SkyClan hadn't been lucky enough to house many elders and had been able to treat them as senior warriors for a very long time. However, when the elders demanded that they have their own space, a team of mostly apprentices and a few warriors dug them their own den. Sparkheart was one of the most notable elders to date to be housed here.

SkyClan CampUpper hole in tree: Leader's den
Lower hole in tree: Medicine cat den
Orange flower shrub: Apprentice den
Wall of white flowers: Warrior's den
Clump of grass covering a burrow: Elder's den
Mossy rock in the flowers that covers a hole: The nursery
Clan meeting place: One of the tree's branches

Pros:
• The ground is extremely fertile and grows a wide variety of plants.
• They are far enough away from other clans to not have many conflicts.
• Their dens are low to the ground and are, therefore, easily accessible to kits and elders.
• The abundance of tall plant life makes it difficult for local predatory birds to attack someone.

Cons:
• In the event of a stampede, the clan is essentially trapped without a real out.
• It is vulnerable to and is around an area that is known for landslides.
• Their dens can easily be flooded due to them being so low to the ground.
• The abundance of tall plant life makes it easy for predators such as foxes to sneak up and attack someone.
