Very nice effort. And no, a full body is never a waste of time for a learning artist.

With that in mind, I hope you don't mind I make a suggestion. Study anatomy. There's tons of anatomy sketches online, and even in books. But it's okay if you don't buy books. It took me a long freaking time to get the three I have now because poor haha.

Slow down! Take time to study a reference or pose.

Study other artists. For example I think 'I want to do ___, but how would someone else do that?' So I deviantart or google search it.

As for the guitar, google search that too. Make little sketches of guitars in your notebooks. Stuff like that. Luckily I have my own if I ever need a reference but it still helps.

Also, if you can, take art classes. I'm luckily that my high school art teacher is very serious in helping art college bound students build up acceptable portfolios and she even treats us like college students. She presents us with different ideas and mediums. She helped me A LOT.
