Nino, another character from Fire Emblem 7. This is a redo of an old drawing: [link]I thought she was sort of annoying at first since she does a lot of stupid-though-well-intentioned things, but she really grew on me, because she's cute and she's super easy to draw.
And she's definitely my favorite unit to use ever, ever, EVER. Raising this pathetic little level 5 thing into a BEASTLY EPIC SLAYER OF THE UNHOLY PAGAN MASSES in just one or two chapters warms the cockles of my black heart.
Colored pencils, as always. I tried to put more thought into the lighting and such this time around. I hope I can keep that up.

I absoulutly LOVE Nino as she is real cute and has a lot more potential Than Erk and Pent, Although I'll admit that when I first got her I didn't use her cause of her low level and her speed was low and she would often get double attacked and killed, BUT I just use her in the Black Fang chapter after the dreaded Water Temple level (I freaking DESPISE that level!) and use the mine trick to remove all the enemy weapons to make my life easier and her job of killing them easier and I usually get her to 20/1 or around there on that chapter alone since there are so many promoted troops to kill and they give insane exp. But hey thats just me. Cute picture.

Yeah the mine trick makes the level(s) REAL easy and a great way to level up any low level units like Nino. Now don't get me wrong cause Erk and Pent are awesome hell even Canas is awesome but little Nino has those poor saps beat (which is kind of sad especially for Canas since he is likely her Uncle).

I try not to abuse the mine trick too much, since it makes the game too easy, but yeah I do like to use it for that one water level just to get Nino up to speed.

Well thats honestly up to you, I'd prefer the level AFTER the temple cause I hate the temple since its so dang hard even on normal difficulty although I've never gotten there on hard as of yet cause its well hard to get by a lot of the level cause your taking fewer units into the fight and that is honestly quit difficult to handle and half the time I tend to be a wuss and stick with normal since I can use more units to level up and such.

I always loved her outfit design and the colors of her character. I never thought I'd like green hair but it looks wonderful on her.
I used a glitch in a certain level that made enemy units not attack you to level Nino to uber status.
Your drawing is beautiful and captures her innocence and personality. The shading and colors you used is amazing. The eyes and background especially stand out to me. Definitely a favorite <3

I had seen this in a lot of Favorite collections but I always forgot to comment on it. >< Great job, your ability to shade with colored pencils is fantastic. I also like the thick outlines, it makes the whole picture look more... polished, I guess. Nice work.

Yes, Nino is the best. The serious best among them all. She is just so adorable and lovable, and her relationship with Jaffar = damned cutest thing in the whole world, I swear.
It's so much fun raising her into a Sage and then KILLING EVERYTHING IN SIGHT.
Mine killed Sonia as a lv. 15 Mage. (Filla's Might, lawlz) :B
And from there on, she became a little goddess.
I swear, in VIctory or Death, she and Jaffar took out the whole southern squad of enemies, reinforcements and all, on their own. I had to have Heath deliver a new anima magic book for Nino when her book broke - and it was brand new at the beginning of that chapter. XD!
Anyways.
This is really, really good. I love her expression and the fire.. and how you did everything. xD
Her stomach looks a tad.. big, but I guess that's just because she's leaning forward and all.

I really like your "evolution" from this picture from the other one, it shows you really have improved a lot, and that's one of the greatest feelings as an artist isn't it?
I LOVE NINO! XD XD XD XD She's amazing and so cute too! (Don't look at her like that! Jaffar might get youuuuu) I like her personality too, probably because I can relate a bit to her in the yearning for the acceptance by Sonia (though my Sonia would be my twin) and willing to go so far to get it. But still, her true nature shines through and prevents her from doing such.

Yeah, Dorcas in general is just really...I want to say anti-climatic but that's not necessarily the right word. Either way, he's really meh for being one of the characters you have longer than anyone else and who has an entire chapter dedicated to him and his wife.
Nino is one of the must-brings to the last level, in my opinion. She's one of the only characters who gets conversations with so many of the enemies there. Anyway, glad you like this1

One of the only FE7 characters I actually dislike, other than Sonia for her actions, is Bartre... >.> I remember he talks to Dorcas, and even he doesn't like him! (Kinda.) Meh, he annoys me with his swaggering.
Oh yeah, she gets to talk to Linus and Lloyd, Nergal himself, Ursula... It's both fun and depressing. ;^^ Eheh, no problem!

Dorcas does like Bartre. Sort of. He tolerates him, at worst. I think Bartre is butt-ugly and I keep ugly character strictly OUT of my army since i'm shallow like that, but other than that I think he's an okay guy. At the very least, his supports with Renault and Canas are hilarious.
Eh? Nino talks to Ursula? I never knew that. I do know she does talk to Brednan Reed, though (funny how Brendan's like the only guy in the game with a last name. I think that's kind of random).

I am loving the coloring on this one. Your coloring style is very unique to you, and sometimes it works with the character, sometimes not. Here, it's fantastic! Beautiful, bold, smooth, and I am SUCH a sucker for dual lighting!
The toe of her boot bothers me (the lower one,) but that's really the only helpful thing I can say about this. It's fun! I believe that sky must have taken forever to layer in.

The thing about my coloring is so true - I really neecd to work on varying my coloring style more to suit the characters and/or settings. But then I get all obsessive about layering and then more layering and making things BRIGHT and I can't stop myself.
For the toe, do you mean how rounded it is or just the nubby bit at the end?
And yeah, the sky did take forever to layer in, so it makes me happy that you mentioned it. Thanks for the feedback!

You don't need bonus EXP to level up Nino - I always get her on par with everyone else within two chapters. It's just a matter of good strategy in keeping her alive.

Ahaha, FE7 was a while ago... I used Erk as my main Anima guy a lot, though if Pris ever made it that far I'd use her too.

Ah. I hate Erk. I'd love to have used him, but he always gets hopeless RNG-screwed, so I've given up on him. Pris is a bit more reliable for me, though of course Nino is and always will be on top.
