I tried to come up with another advanced robot design similar to Megatron's, but it turned out looking more or so like him :\ And his arm was supposed to be a blade or something. This was done during the week of Thanksgiving, just brushing it up now. It was also pretty damn hard to get all that mangled detail in there, and trying to get the lighting right.Digitally painted in photoshop, no reference

The light in the background doesn't match up properly with the figure, I probably couldn't do much better but from where I perceive the sun is the shadow should be drawn across most of his body. Beautiful though

hmmm you may be right on that one. When I was painting it, I guess I made it so that the sunlight was able to reach most of the front of the body from where he is standing, and that the arm doesn't become a full silhouette and cast the shadow onto the body. There's still many problems with me understanding lighting and shadow casting
