Okay, I have a pretty big feeling that either Sirus is going to get seriously hurt at some point, or these comics are just going to mock the whole "animal friend dies" trope. Or both, with maybe some black comedy and Sirus turning out to be alright.
Still, there's one thing I don't get: why does it look like Erma and Emily's hands are bandaged in one of the first panels? From what I could tell from the last comic, the worst that happened to them was that they just got some really messy nail polish on their arms: they never actually got hurt in any way.
