Yeah, Santa Claus can be scary for young ones..

This is more common than people think. Hasn't anyone ever seen those photos with kids crying on Santa's lap?

It's probably quite obvious who wrapped up the mall santa, bur I love the added detail on second last panel. You can barely see it, but the wrappings started to levitate behind Erma there

To be fair, if one rearranges the "nta" in Santa's name..you get "SATAN."

Actually, Santa Claus has nothing to with The Devil. His name originates from St Nickolas, Odin from Norse mythology, and The Holly King from pagan folklore.

Less traumatizing, given the only thing she has to worry about their is a giant mouse..
..and, one of her close friends is half rat person.

Let's see if Erma can handle Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios.

Well, there is a comic strip where Erma wandered into a Haunted House attraction,
and appeared to run it out of business by scaring the "fake monsters" out of it.
(The funniest gag was the last person that she scared was someone dressed like Samara.)
It seems Erma has a mixed up opinion on what is scary, and what isn't.
as she finds Slasher Flicks funny, and someone like Santa Claus terrifying.
(If that is the case, the Care Bears must give her night terrors.)

Yet it would be fun to her interacting with some of the icons from Halloween Horror Nights, including Cindy; The Caretaker's Daughter.

I'm not as well versed in Horror..But, I do know of some superheroes that can measure up.
and, while I have seen Santiago make some "strips" depicting Erma
with some familiar characters, one I have yet to see is Ghost Rider, or Spawn (I think.)
In their own way..they are Horror Icons, given they are anti-heroes with demonic origins.

If anything it'd be her father giving the defense and Erma would just be sitting with her mom with a sad face. While her father, for the first time, becomes the monster and totally reems the guy for scaring his daughter.Β

This makes perfect sence.Β I would imagine the only thing that could scare little Erma would be a Mall Santa.
Then again, this comic made me think of the Mall Santa from the Skrillex - Ruffneck

There are really good mall Santas and really bad mall Santas. I knew a mall Santa who would, after a day at the mall, would go around and show up at children's hospitals.Β

Based on what I could tell, the mall Santa was being a jerk. So I think Erma was justified since the mall Santa was a jerk. Unless someone could prove me wrong on this.

This reminds me when I was 6 and celebrated Christmas at my aunt's house. My uncle dressed as Santa and everyone was all happiness....but me.
I was TERRIFIED of anyone in a costume.I ran, crawled under a table and howled and wailed as they tried to put me on his lap.
My poor uncle had to pull off his "beard" to tell me it was him.
