Description
An unexpected survivor of the Anthropocalypse was the giant armadillo, Priodontes maximus. Even more unexpected was the direction its evolution took in the Auriocene, as one lineage switched from almost exclusive insectivory to herbivory, filling the niches left open by the extinction of tapirs. However this development was hinted at by the late anthropocene discovery that at least some populations of Priodontes could occasionally feed exclusively on fruit.

In September 2020 I decided to start a new monthly drawing challenge and launched #Spectember, a free-for-all month of speculative evolution creations. This is one of the creature concepts suggested to me by my Twitter followers.
