Yeah, I got it a few months ago but couldn't really test it properly as it was either very cold or very dark. x.x
And once it's warmer I'm sure I will be able to take better ones...

How big a zoom lens are you using with it? Or are you just able to get that close?

It's a 400mm prime lens, effective 640mm on 1.6x crop factor cameras like Canon 40D.

Ooooh that helps. I think my biggest one (and I still only have the old analog camera) is 300mm.
*goes to check* Oooh nope 200mm. No wonder. XD I need a bigger zoom lens. Rawr. lol Though even my mom gets better ones... but she has a feeder that's close enough to the house she can hide inside and not scare them.
