My submission to Monthly Salute: Lucy Stone. Here we see Wasp in her giantess form, having rescued some modern slaves in the form of children being trafficked as sex slaves for the rich. And if you're wondering where the trafficker in this case is...look under Wasp.

Now, I normally despise imagery featuring giants (male or female) crushing people and so on, but given what this particular piece of scum has been doing...I'm making an exception.

It had started out simply enough. Wasp had been called by her friend She-Hulk, who had worked with Power Girl in cracking down upon a child trafficking ring that sold their captives as sex slaves to whoever had the money to pay for it, and was depraved enough to desire such a thing. Jennifer had reported that, while they had managed to capture some of the traffickers, several innocent children were still being shipped through the city, and they needed to find them and save them.

Wasp had been quick enough to agree to help. As a fellow hero and an Avenger, she could do no less. And so, armed with the information sent to her by She-Hulk, she had set out to track down one of the shipping trucks and its cargo.

In almost no time at all, Wasp had succeeded in finding the truck in question. And in even less time, she subdued the truck driver and liberated the captives. But when she started getting the children out of the truck, she was a bit surprised at how frightened they were of her.

"Listen, it's alright!" Wasp assured the fearful children, already suspecting she knew what the problem was. "Listen, I know I must look a bit scary like this, but I'm not going to hurt you! Hey, if you like, I can shrink down to something smaller!"

One of the children replied, "It's...not that. It's just..."

"Why are you doing this?" another of the children asked.

"Why am I...?" Wasp started, feeling a bit confused by this. "Well...I'm here to help you! To save you!"

"But we don't need saving," a third child. "We were being taken to our new homes."

Taken somewhat by surprise, Wasp tried again. "You weren't getting homes! You were being sold into slavery!" she declared, wondering what exactly these children had been told. "Do you have any idea what those people were going to do to you?!"

"We know," one of the boys assured Wasp. "The driver, she...she used me for a demonstration. To show that we'd be good pets."

Of all the things she could have imagined being told, nothing she could have envisioned horrified Wasp as this statement had. "She - she demonstrated?!" she demanded, glancing back at the horrific woman that was presently being crushed beneath her. "You mean - she touched you, and -?!"

Nodding, the boy continued, "She said that we had to do it. That no one would want us, except as pets."

"This is our only chance to have homes," one of the girls went on, looking pleadingly at Wasp. "We want to have homes, miss! Please, let us go to our owners! Or they might not want us anymore!"

As the other children chimed in agreement, Wasp felt her stomach twist in horror. She knew from dealing with the Hulk that the damage done by abuse didn't end when the abuse did. That the scars, physical and emotional, lingered on and tormented the victims. And as her eyes welled up with sorrow, she considered the monstrous woman that remained trapped by her immense bulk.

Most heroes killed only when there was no other choice. Some refused to kill at all. There was just so much to be responsible for in taking a life, in taking everything a person was, everything that they would be, and erasing it. But as Wasp considered the tormented children before her, she was terribly tempted to cross that line, just this once...
